This type of unit includes a new ignition coil with lighting capabilities. It bolts to the stock stator plate replacing the main cluster of coils. Some soldiering is needed. You will need a flywheel puller (such as part number E-1 for $14.95) to install. See part L-1297 for an easier to install option.
Our coils are an inexpensive way to run lights without changing the power delivery of the motorcycle. They can be used with or without a Steahly flywheel weight. A flywheel puller (E-1) is needed for installation. Has a 6 month limited manufacturers warranty.
- LED headlights or fan kits will need a DC system
- Halogen or incandesent headlights can use either AC or DC system
- AC systems we recommend a voltage regulator (L-4603) for most applications
- DC systems we recommend a regulator/rectifier (L-RR) and small battery (L-040) for most application
- Flywheel puller may be required
